“Steve has just completed a survey of a steel motor yacht for me and my husband in the Netherlands. Steve is someone who clearly loves what he does, he was a pleasure to deal with, took his time to undertake a thorough survey and provided clear, practical advice about our acquisition.
From instruction to receiving the report was a week. We would have no reservation in recommending Steve's services.”
"Steve was a referral from our outboard mechanic. He conducted a full boat survey in a timely and professional manner and so it was a pleasure doing business with him.
The report he generated was incredibly detailed and included various photos highlighting areas of concern. I will certainly use Steve again and highly recommend his services."
Jonathan London, RIBShare
"Buying a first boat is a step that is both exciting and fraught with problems due to lack of knowledge.
Steven was recommended to us and has proved invaluable in his professional and helpful approach. I would sincerely urge you use his company in any survey or advice needed in your purchase."

BUYING A USED BOAT
THE PURCHASE PROCESS AND SURVEY
Boats are fun, beautiful and elegant, but they are expensive and complicated too. It is easy fall in love and buy with the heart instead of the head, and that can lead to unforeseen expenses, dissatisfaction and regret.
There are no hard and fast rules to buying a boat but following this process, as used by many brokers, makes good sense and should help to minimise mistakes and purchase and post-purchase costs.
COMPATIBLE METALS ON BOATS
Modern boats often have a huge variety of different metal fittings and fixings aboard. Even the smallest of craft could have aluminium spars, stainless steel rigging, bronze sea cocks, a lead or iron keel and maybe even a titanium propeller.
Being durable, strong and versatile, these metals are well-suited to the harsh marine environment - but some combinations of dissimilar metals promote an accelerated form of metal decay called galvanic corrosion and should be avoided.
